Pier Closure Notice:
The Fisher Family Pier will be closed Tuesday, January 20 and Wednesday, January 21 for construction in preparation for the monument. Installation is expected within one week after construction concludes.

The City of Pompano Beach is proud to partner with Florida Society Sons of the American Revolution to bring the First Amphibious Landing Monument to the Pompano Beach Fisher Family Pier.

Rising 20 feet tall and weighing 17,000 pounds, the monument honors the first amphibious landing of the American Revolution—a lesser-known but pivotal moment in our nation’s fight for independence. An informational plaque will accompany the monument.

After searching for a meaningful southeastern location, the Sons of the American Revolution selected Pompano Beach, citing the Fisher Family Pier and new Fishing Village area as the ideal setting for residents and visitors.
