Exciting news, Pompano Beach- we’re building a brand-new Skatepark!

The City of Pompano Beach is excited to launch a bold new era in community recreation with the groundbreaking of its state-of-the-art skatepark — the first of its kind in the city.

Construction will begin immediately after the ceremony, with the facility slated to open in late 2026.

When complete, the skatepark will offer a vibrant, safe, and fully inclusive environment for skateboarders, BMX riders, scooter users, and families seeking active outdoor fun and community connection. This project marks a major step forward in bringing fresh, innovative recreation opportunities to residents of all ages and skill levels.

Designed with valuable input from local riders and neighborhood stakeholders, the park will feature dynamic elements for beginners, intermediate users, and advanced thrill-seekers alike — ensuring everyone has a place to ride, learn, grow, and push their limits

Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening

The City of Pompano Beach Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Grand Opening for its new Skatepark on Wednesday, July 22, at 10:00 a.m. at 1701 NE 8th Street. The community is invited to celebrate this exciting milestone with a morning of festivities featuring the official ribbon cutting, appearances by legendary professional skateboarders, live skate demonstrations, competitions for a variety of age groups and skill levels, prizes and giveaways, food trucks, music, and family-friendly entertainment.
