The newly constructed Fisher Family Pier is a one-of-a-kind destination in Pompano Beach. Stretching nearly 900 feet into the Atlantic Ocean, the pier offers space for sightseeing, fishing, and enjoying sweeping ocean views. Its unique Pompano fish–shaped design at the pier’s end makes it a standout landmark, and amenities such as a bike rack add to its accessibility.
The Fisher Family Pier is named in recognition of the Fisher family’s more than 100 years of civic service to Pompano Beach, including former Mayor and current Broward County Commissioner Lamar Fisher, whose family legacy dates back to his great-grandfather, Clinton Lyons.
The pier is also home to the First Marine Amphibious Landing Memorial, which commemorates the 1776 Continental Marines’ historic amphibious assault, the first of its kind on foreign soil. The memorial honors this important moment in American history and provides an educational experience for residents and visitors alike.
