Demi Rivera
Demi Rivera

My name is Demi Rivera and I am the new Therapeutic Recreation Specialist with the City of Pompano Beach! I was born and raised in Miami, FL and graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation and Sports Management with a focus in Recreational Therapy. I have several years of professional and personal experience working in a variety of settings like schools, summer camps and parks and recreation. with wide range of individuals with disabilities. My role as the Therapeutic Recreation Specialist is to provide department wide inclusion and adaptive opportunities for programs and events. My goal is to build a division that combines exceptional customer service with compassion in programming for individuals with and without disabilities. I am a firm believer in inclusivity and acceptance for all, and it is my personal mission to offer support and tools to give members of our community facing different barriers an opportunity to experience events, recreation and leisure activities.

I am excited to continue implementing policies, programs, and modifications to our services that will best serve populations that need it.

I’m Allie Lallance, and I am the Therapeutic Recreation Leader with a true love for sports and a deep passion for working with special populations. My goal is to create inclusive recreational programs that enhance, the physical, emotional, and social well-being of those I work with. With my background in sports, I use my skills to help other’s experience the joy and benefits of physical activity, no matter their abilities. I am committed to empowering individuals by fostering independence, inclusion, and providing meaningful experiences through therapeutic recreation. Helping other’s and making a positive difference in their lives is at the heart of everything I do.

    Kyle Fitzsimmons

    My name is Kyle Fitzsimmons and I am the Therapeutic Recreation Leader here at Pompano Beach. Being a native of Pompano Beach, it is important to me to help build a welcoming, accepting community for special populations here in my own back yard. I love sports and have been fortunate enough to translate that love into being a coach and partner for Special Olympics for many years. The experience I have gained with Special Olympics has taught me how to create a positive environment for anyone who participates in our programs or events. Creating positive memories for our those around us in important to me. I am committed to providing opportunities that promote growth, self-confidence, and a sense of belonging for all participants.
