What Is an AED?
An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a portable, easy-to-use medical device that can help restore a normal heart rhythm during sudden cardiac arrest. AEDs are designed for use by the public and provide clear, step-by-step voice instructions.
AED Safety Features
The newly installed AED cabinets are:
- Publicly accessible to park and facility visitors
- Connected to 911, automatically alerting emergency services when opened
- Equipped with an audible alarm to draw attention
- Designed to capture a photo when the cabinet is accessed
- Continuously monitored to ensure readiness and security

AED cabinets are currently installed at the following locations:
- Bait Shop at the Fisher Family Pier
- Golf Course – Rest Stop on Pines
- Community Park – Near Pickleball Courts
- Hunters Manor Park
- George Brummer Park
